Angela Avila

Angela Avila is a mom, Home Engineer and also budding Photographer. She became interested in photography with the birth of her first child in 1996. She concentrates on photojournalism and portrait photography, choosing black and white film. She keeps a keen eye on the little stories her camera can capture in the life of children in their every day actions.

Angela is a graduate of Salmen High School, the mother of two with a new arrival due soon. She volunteered at Fort Bragg Toy Lending Library, while she and her husband were stationed there. As an active member of Slidell Photography Club, Angela hopes to expand her photography by traveling in search of subjects to shoot and a dark room of her own to process and perfect her work. Angela's work entitled "Another Lazy Sunday", is on display at the Slidell Library on Robert Road during the month of November.
