Slidell Photography Club

Slidell Photography Club

The Slidell Photography Club focuses on photography and learning from one another on how to use our cameras and tips on how to enhance the “good” ones to make even better ones, along with good fellowship. The ages of the members range from 12 to into the eighties. Presently dues are $20 for an individual membership and $25 for a family membership.

Meetings

Every 3rd Thursday of each month ( 7:00 p.m) at the Slidell Art League, located in the 2nd floor of the old train station on Front Street (above the Times Bar & Grill and the Beignet Station).

If you would like more information, email the Slidell Photo Club or just show up at a meeting!

Club meetings are in an alternating format. One month will have a program or speaker, the next meeting will be competition. Each will have a short business meeting.

Past guest speakers have included

  • Armin Diblin, a Portrait Specialist from the St. Tammany Parish area
  • Our own member Carroll Townsend with his slide presentation on the children of Brazil
  • Walter Clifton, a birder and photo enthusiast from Abita Springs
  • Chris Fryou of Imagine Photography and Fort Isabel Gallery in Covington with a handtinting workshop
  • Our own workshops on lighting and still life photography by Bill Grant
  • Macro photography by Scott Threlkeld

You are invited to join us and see what develops...
