Slidell Photography Club has selected
David Schmit
as the February Photographer of the Month. 
David Schmit is a Louisiana native. Growing up in St. Bernard Parish he graduated from Holy Cross H.S. From '89 to '90 he studied Graphic Design at Louisiana Tech University and holds an Associate Degree in Computer Drafting from Nunez Community College. Now a member of the Slidell Art League and Photography Club he teaches classes in Adobe Photoshop. Currently his primary medium is digital photography but also works in watercolor, and pen and ink. His photograph titled "Remembering the Past" will be on display at the Slidell Library thru the month of February and was exhibited in this year's Cemeteryscape Exhibit.
